one of the first pictures i took with the fujifilm x100 on a sunset walk with martin
pretty weeds
it felt good to walk around the neighbourhood with such a lightweight and fun little camera
on martin’s day off we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather
the sea shepherd is currently docked down in williamstown and letting people tour the boats for free. i hadn’t heard of them before (have I been living under a rock?) but martin filled me in on these kind, brave souls and the amazing things that they do. it was incredible to see where they live and work on these ships.
i took some sneaky pictures of the kitchen!
i left feeling inspired and wanting to try and help in some way, we gave a small donation but i really wish we could go along and work on these ships. i could shoot a documentary to help show the amazing work these brave people do and martin could cook yummy food for everyone! sometimes i let my mind dream too much.
catching a train at sunset to meet my mama
we went to see Birdy perform in the city, it was my mama’s birthday present from my step father.
my friend amy’s cozy lounge room! i was helping her on a shoot for her uni assignment and fell inlove with her sweet little home.
pretty amy so excited to be shooting!
makeup in the kitchen
it was wonderful to watch this talented lady work, if you don’t already know of amy’s pictures, have a peek here!
an angry swan who wouldn’t leave us alone! even after we offered him the pomegranate..
such a lovely afternoon! i’m so glad i could go along to help (:
night-time train rides
i watch martin play soccer every week! it’s so much fun and often i get so nervous in the game i have to cover my eyes!
the reactions from strangers as a woman almost falls on the tram
secret alleyways
a sick pigeon that broke my heart
listening to live music in wonderfully dingy little pubs
i’ve been taking so many more pictures on the street now that i have this little camera. it’s much smaller, lighter and less intimidating than a DSLR. i can also shoot with a silent shutter and have been experimenting with ‘shooting from the hip’ so that my subjects don’t notice. basically it has re-kindled my love of shooting strangers and documenting every moment.
